As a Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School, we are centered in Christ and strive to create the time and space necessary for reflection, prayer, sharing of faith, and sacramental celebration.
The Campus Ministry Program is an integral part of our students’ educational experience. We strive for growth and learning marked by:
enduring personal relationships
stewardship for God’s creation
the centrality of religious instruction, spiritual formation, worship and prayer
In addition to the community service that students will complete on their own, Campus Ministry also provides opportunities for students to volunteer. Students can dedicate their time to the following activities:
Big X Little X Freshman Orientation
Freshmen Welcoming Community Night
St. Dominick's Outreach Center
The Christmas Cabaret
Senior Involvement
Sandwiches for the Homeless
Xaverian provides different retreat experiences for the spiritual needs of their students. There are retreat experiences given to every student at least once a year, with optional retreats for students who wish to further explore their faith.
Retreat Opportunities
6th Grade Retreat
This retreat centers around the question of "who is my neighbor?" and the Good Samaritan. Students reflect on Jesus' challenge of caring for those in need and think about people in their lives (classmates, teachers, family members) who are in need and what our responsibilities are to them.
Retreat Opportunities
7th Grade Retreat
On this retreat, students focus on the theme of Christian leadership and reflect on how they can be leaders in their school. A true Christian leader is one who serves. As such, students watch and reflect on a video of a student their age who helped a family in need.
Retreat Opportunities
8th Grade Retreat
On the 8th grade retreat, students focus on the theme of discerning God's plan for them. Students reflect on questions such as "what is God calling you to do?" and "what values should you follow?"
